Hammocks need straps and these are our preferred option. The wide end to these straps means the weight is distributed which limits the potential damage to trees and generally provides better grip on smooth surfaces, we find they work well off our roof rack. The main rope is knotted at intervals which allows the hammock to be positioned easily.
